London & Paris

Good morning dolls! If you follow me on Instagram (anightinnyc) or Twitter (@anightinnyc) then you already know that tomorrow I will be on the plane to my first 2013 Europe adventure. I can't even express how excited I am to visit these two gorgeous cities for the very first time.
Definitely a bucket list check off (that has been on the list for the longest time).

Although I have been franticly packing, unpacking and packing again (as the weather in there is not ideal and keeps throwing me off), I am now finally starting to take it all in and enjoying this moment.  Most importantly, I can't wait to come back and share with you all my amazing experiences, pictures and outfits.

There are so many things to see and do that no amount of time is large enough, but I would be contempt just to stroll the streets and drink in all the culture and beauty (and maybe take a gazillion pictures of the Eiffel Tower). So if any of you have any suggestions and places I should visit, I would love to hear it!

Be sure to follow me on instagram for all the updates.

Hope you have a great weekened.

O

Florida highlights

Palm trees that I love and already miss

Good morning my lovelies and happy Monday!

beautiful beaches
To sum up my Florida trip, here is some of the highlights of my trip, from the beach to the Magic Kingdom. Hope you guys enjoy these pictures as much as I have. It’s a nice reminder of some amazing down time when the work week seems a bit too long.

Love how empty and secluded the beach is, even on the weekend

Catching sunrays

Shopping and enjoying the gorgeous views and flowers

On our way to a dinner and a movie

"A place where dreams come true" - Magic Kingdom

These were too cute to pass on, feeling like a kid again

Thank you all for your continued sweet comments that I love reading so much and for reliving my Florida getaway. You guys are amazing and I love you all dearly. This blog wouldn’t exist without you.

I hope you all have an amazing weekend. Any plans for the Memorial Day weekend?

The perfect jumper

Good morning dolls!

Thank you so much for your well wishes on my last post. I am feeling a lot better!
Your kind words truly make my day and always put a smiley on my face.
You guys are the best.

Here is my 3rd Florida outfit. This was one of the casual day-time looks I sported
while shopping and soaking up the sunshine.

Did your mom dress you in one of these when you were younger? If she did, she is the coolest. I remember how much I loved jumpsuits/jumpers when I was younger (currently on the lookout for the perfect denim one). Granted they were less fashionable for sure, but the comfort level was still the same.  I don’t know what it is but I just love them. It seriously reduces my getting ready time (put your feet and zip) 30 seconds later I’m out the door and still feel put together. The soft fabric is like a blanket and I wish I never had to take it off. Perfect for day of shopping paired with flats and after a quick change of shoes, the easiest transition to night out wear and a dinner date. Can’t beat that during those hot, humid summer days.

jumper: club monaco (alternative here and here ) // bag: loeffler randall mini rider // shoes: zara (old)
// sunglasses: prada // bracelets: j.crew//

All in all, one of my favorite go -to-outfits come summer. What do you guys think? Have you fallen into the jumper bandwagon craze or are you still holding out? In retrospect, silk and printed shorts are just as in right now, giving us plenty of options to stay comfortable and chic all at the same time.  Yay to that.

O

Cheetah prints

Happy Monday lovelies! Hope your weekend was sunny and relaxing. It's just like
me to get sick with a flu right after my arrival back but after far too many hot beverages,
I'm starting to feel better.

Here is my second Florida look that I wanted to share with you guys. I love these
Zara pants and am glad to finally dig them out for spring/summer and can't wait to have
them on repeat, perfect for day or night. In this case, I paired them with soft pink heels
(my latest obsession) for a romantic dinner with my guy. I matched my lips to the heel for a
more softer, romantic look.

blouse: club monaco // trousers: zara similar // shoes: sam edelman // bag: loeffler randall mini rider // necklace: banana republic (old) // ring: bcbg max azria // lipstick: nars - roman holiday//

PS. One more reason I love Florida, these were taking at around 8pm and the sun is still shinning, miss this already.

PPS. You are probably getting sick of seeing me with this bag, but I just can't seem to put it down. It somehow goes with everything I wear and perfectly transitions from day to night. Yeah I know, I'll try to switch it up, but can't make any promises.

Thanks so much for reading!
Love,
O

White + mint + yellow

Good morning Dolls! It feels so good to be back (home and blogging) even though
I came back to a pouring NYC, there is nothing like sleeping in your own bed.

I feel so rested, relaxed and somewhat tanned, but all it took this morning is a
subway ride during rush hour to get my New Yorker self back.

Good thing I have these amazing memories to take me back to a
more relaxed palm trees state of mind.

blouse: club monaco //shorts: zara // shoes: prabal gurung for target // sunglasses: ray-ban //
bag:loeffler randall mini rider // necklace: tiffany // bracelets: j.crew, hm

For the next week, I will be sharing with you my Florida outfits so I hope you enjoy them as much as I have. This particular one was one of my favorite because it was so light and effortless. The shirt is actually mint, which you can’t really see all that well here. These shorts became an instant hit in my wardrobe and I tend to reach out to them more often than not.

PS. These pictures were taking in Mizner Plaza (one of my favorite neighborhoods in Boca Raton).

Florida getaway

 Happy (almost) Friday!

I am off packing and last minute shopping for my mini Florida getaway. Since NYC will not cooperate, I’m turning to Florida  for much needed sunrays. My guy has been there since Monday on a business trip but why not mix business with pleasure with an extended weekend of fun and sunshine? I’m flying out tomorrow and will be back Tuesday. Although I won’t be posting  for a bit, I will be taking an obscene amount of pictures of palm trees, breakfast pancakes, blues skies and cocktail drinks. So be sure to follow me along on Instagram (anightinnyc) and Twitter (@anightinnyc).

These are a few shots from my May 2012 trip that I wanted to share with you guys. Lots of color, florals and soft fabric to keep cool in a 90 degree weather.

I’m thinking lots of shorts and tank tops, bright colors, light fabric, and a few dresses/jumpsuits for a romantic dinner or two. Basically keeping it very simple and casual but adding some details with accessories (sunglasses, silk scarfs, a straw hat, some jewelry, and a bold lip). I tend to always over-pack and
every time I promise myself to be more easygoing but I just cant help it. Better to be over-packed
then under, am I right ladies?

Looking forward to seeing these pretty views.

Here are some of the things I'm packing as of now:
Colorful Prabal Gurung for Target shoes for day//Kate Spade pop up clutch// Badgley Mischka peep toe for night// lots of straw hats HM & Club Monaco// sunnies of all shapes and colors// a very warn in Louis Vuitton purse//tablet// silk Club Monaco scarves// Loeffler Randall mini rider//

Hope you all have an amazing weekened!
Love,
O

Boyfriend jeans with a sparkly twist

Good morning dolls! Monday is looking grey with rain but I'm thankful we
had an amazingly warm and sunny weekend.

I wore this outfit on Friday for a dinner at Buvette. It’s my # 1 go-to-spot for brunch but
it was my first time going for dinner. I can’t express how amazing their food is and their wines
are simply delicious. Best part about spring? Finally getting to dine outside, whether in the
rooftop or in the garden, it really makes it that much more enjoyable.

And I finally took my beloved glittery shoes for a spin. The minute I saw them, I had a
Dorothy moment and after a fraction of hesitation I had to take them home. Paired with
boyfriend jeans, creates the perfect balance of casual chic and adds an unexpected twist.
Yellow top was a no-brainer and red lips just pulled it all together. What do you guys think?

I hope you weekend was just as fun and relaxing.

Brooklyn Bridge

There is nothing I love more than walks on the Brooklyn Bridge. There is something
really cool about walking on a bridge and seeing cars shooing by from both sides.
The views are amazing!
First white of the season!

Without really planning it, we ended up walking all the way to Brooklyn and ended up in one my
favorite parks overlooking the bridge. After a few hours (minutes) of laying on the grass (why did I have to wear white pants?!) we fuelled up on the most amazing pizza and beer
(apricot and blueberry flavored, yes please!) at Ignazio's and made our walk back to the city.

Time and time again I’m reminded that the best days are those that are completly
unplanned. So here is to more spontaneous days like this one.

Zara tee + pants
blazer: Club Monaco
clutch: Kate Spade
 sneakers: Nike
Ray-Ban sunglasses c/o

Is there a specific place you like to go to on your day off?

It's all in the details

Happy Monday my lovelies! I hope you had an amazing
and relaxing weekend.

This was my Saturday outfit for a mimosa filled brunch at Agave followed by some bar
hopping to catch the Knicks game. All in all, an amazing day filled with lots of drinks, great
food and great company, couldn’t ask for more.

I went rather simple with my outfit, but used accessories for a fun and colorful look. A
statement necklace and colorful shoes are all you need to makeover any outfit. And I couldn’t
wait to show off my new bag that my guy recently surprised me with. He really is the best.
